Words cannot express what Diana and I have been through the past week but pictures do help! Here are a couple pictures throughout the week to show you what we just went through. We have tons of other pictures that we will post in the future but here are a couple:
Here we are leaving the house ready to go into town because Diana was having pretty regular contractions. We didn't go straight to the hospital though. We first went to our doctor's office to be checked out. There they told us that Diana would go into active labor later that night or the next morning. By 7 o'clock, Diana's contractions were 5 minutes apart and pretty strong.
Here Diana is at the hospital the next morning. Diana was given morphine (sp?) the night before so she could catch up on sleep. (We slept 1 1/2 hours Monday night because of contractions) This picture is well into the contractions (sped up by Pitocin) and Diana was about to kill me for taking the picture while she was in pain. Oh well, memories!
This is a picture of Diana's best friend - an Epidural. For about 2 hours Diana was in extreme pain with her contractions but all was good once the epidural was administered. I might add that I didn't do too well with the process. The nurse asked me if I was alright more than she asked Diana!
Here is the 1st picture I took of Diana and her new son, Camden. This was taken about 5 - 10 minutes after he was born. Diana looks a little yellow because she lost a TON of blood. I am surprised that I didn't faint seeing that. I am more surprised that Diana did so well with what happened.
And here is a picture of Camden the next day in the hospital. He has surprised everyone in that he is such an angel baby. He cried a total of 3 times while in the hospital: he cried during his bath, and both times he got his blood taken.

He is SO cute! I cannot wait to see him in person! I'm so excited for you guys, and so proud of how strong you both were through the difficult week! You rock!
Basia is already asking when she gets to visit him again. She just loves the caretaker role, and she has found someone to care for!
