Cabinet doors..

While enjoying my vacation from school, I got the chance to build a couple cabinet doors for our kitchen. It is amazing how much cleaner and organized it looks just with the doors. It is still strange to have to open doors to get stuff as we have lived in the house for 2 years without having any doors. We find the doors open all the time because we forget that we have to close them!
We have 4 doors done, and only a dozen more to go! :)

Christmas '08...

Here are several pictures of Diana and my 4th Christmas together. It doesn't seem like it has been that long; time sure flies by fast! We had a great time with family and friends and can't wait until Christmas '09. Thanks to everybody that made this a great and memorable Christmas!

Winter...

Today is officially the first day of winter and you can tell that it has been getting colder and colder. One way we can tell is that our puppies, Diasy and Tay, have been spending a lot more time in front of our portable heater. In the morning, we are used to them following us around everywhere we go. That no longer happens. They could care less what we are doing; they are only focused on getting warm.

Fun with fire...

It's always great to get the chance to spend time with family; especially with nieces and nephews. Yesterday Diana and I got the chance to spend some time with Brishen and Basia. Since it had been getting colder at night, we decided to warm up outside! Doesn't sound too smart but we had a blast!

We started a fire and roasted marshmellows and brownies (Diana's idea!). Basia and Brishen had a great time. Brishen and I tried to roast the perfect marshmellow and Basia and Diana roasted quite a few brownies! :)

Here are a couple cool pictures that came out. It looks like they are playing with fire but not the case! I don't think anybody would have any hair left if the fire was this big!

Baby...

Diana's mother has a tradition of giving us an ornament every year for Christmas. The second Christmas that we were together, Diana's mother gave us the ornament seen below. We always thought it was funny when we put it on the tree because it seemed like a distant idea being pregnant.

Well, this year is definitely different. It has a very special meaning to us this Christmas as we are 6 weeks from having a new son in our house. This ornament was put on right away and is actually the only ornament on our tree as of this moment. We just need to get Diana the same shirt.

Roosting...

It has been awhile since we posted pictures of our chickens but here is a recent one of our flock.

Can you tell which one is our rooster? Not hard to tell...

The next 4 years...

Diana and I are extremely excited, thankful, and proud to see Obama elected our next President. We were so excited that we broke out the bubbly! The last 1/3 of our lives have been under a man named BUSH and we are happy that the next four will be under a smart, articulate, capable president.

We are mainly excited because this also means that our country is going in the right direction. And if the country is going in the right direction, that means that it will be better for future Americans. (Like the one below)

Hmmm....

Can you tell who we are voting for...

Some more old pics of Spider Ranch...

New Fence...

Here is an old picture of when we first started working on "Spider Ranch." Things have changed quite a bit and I am sure they are going to change a lot more. We recently installed a new fence for our yard and it really changed the looks of things. We still have more to do but we are very happy how it turned out. Here are some pictures of the new fence. There were 60 - 70 mile an hour winds the night we installed it and they messed it up a little and we have yet to finish it completely. Hopefully soon it will be completed...

Pumpkins...

Diana and I went yesterday to Ed and Mel's house to do our annual pumpkin carving. We found it an important time for our country and politics and our pumpkins reflected our views. Diana's pumpkins says (although hard to see), "Time for Change." It is hard to see the "e" so most people think it says "Time for Chang."

My pumpkin is the flag of one of the presidential candidates (can you guess?) lol. It was pretty basic and took no time at all to cut but I liked the outcome. Below you can see all four pumpkins. You will notice that Mel's pumpkin was a Republican theme. You know...the one with the skull and cross bones.

Weekend fun...

We had a blast this weekend with the Corn Maze, tailgating (grande style), and the football game (even though we stunk). Hope we have more weekends like this one in the future.
