The End of August...

Not much happening over here the last week or so. My mother, 2 sisters, and brother-in-law are going to compete in a marathon in Albuquerque tomorrow. I wish you all good luck and like I told my mom, I want you all to finish 1,2,3,4 (with .01 between your times). You guys are all inspirations to the rest of us. I hope that I will be able to do what you guys are doing when I am older :) (Diana made me erase "old")

Here are 2 pictures that I took today. Our sunflowers are finally opening up after a month and a half of long waiting. It was in part because of all the rain we have been getting lately. I love the rain; especially because I don't have to water.

Here are some pictures from my birthday get-together. Thanks to everyone who made it an awesome birthday. I think I gained about 15 lbs that night.

Barack and Daisy...

We have found out the last couple days that Daisy and Barack really don't like eachother. This is what happens every time we are outside.

Pictures from this week...

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. With work and driving 2 1/2 hours a day, we haven't done too much when I am actually home. Here are some pictures we took this week of our adventures at Spider Ranch. Nothing new, just same ol' stuff.
Here is a picture that really shows what we have been doing the last week when we are home. We are going to be sad when the Olympics are over.
Of course when we are inside, we have to play with Daisy and Tay. They are non-stop fun.
When we are not watching the Olympics, we are always outside playing with our cats and with our poultry. Here is Diana's favorite pullet that always falls asleep in her hands.
Here is Isabella right after she attacked me! I had to stand on the chairs just to get her to stop.
Here's our pullet that looks like it just got out of the drier. I can't wait until they get bigger and to see what they will look like.
Always interested in what we are doing.

Here is our first real set of vegetables that we have picked. It's nice to get homegrown vegetables again. There is nothing like homegrown tomatoes.

Poultry...

After a long month or so locked up in the chicken coop, the baby chicks and geese were released into the outdoors yesterday. They were extremely happy to be outside and haven't stopped exploring around yet. As you can see, both the geese and the chicks have changed quite a bit.

Trip to Austin...

I am sorry that I took so long but I am in the process of starting a new job and finding it hard to find time for the blog. Here are some videos from the trip and one of my favorite photos. I will post some more when I find more time.
They cheated!
